Arrest Records in Eagle County
Eagle County arrest records begin with the agency that took a person into custody. The Eagle County Sheriff's Office serves unincorporated areas, operates the detention facility, and provides contracted police service in Gypsum. Eagle Police, Avon Police, Vail Police, Basalt Police, and the Colorado State Patrol keep reports for events their own officers handled. A county jail booking does not transfer ownership of a city police narrative to the Sheriff.
The products also differ in scope. An incident or arrest report can describe the event and probable cause. The detention record logs intake, custody, original allegations, bond data, and release fields. Eagle Combined Courts holds any complaint, later charge, register of actions, and final disposition. CBI compiles fingerprint-supported Colorado cycles reported to its repository. None of these sources alone is a full arrest history, and the Sheriff does not publish a fixed historical coverage date for its public Viewer.
Eagle County Booking Search Fields
The official Eagle County Sheriff booking search supports more than a simple exact-name query. Last Name and First Name each accept up to 20 characters and the percent sign works as a wildcard. For example, M% finds names beginning with M, while an internal pattern can bridge uncertain letters. Booking and release date ranges make the Viewer the county's practical recent-booking log.

Results list names and booking dates, then link to the profile fields. If the first search is blank, changing status from In Custody to All and adding a date range may reveal a released booking. The Viewer is free, but its data can change fast and carries no guarantee of accuracy.
Eagle County Arrest Lookups
Start with the product closest to the question. Current custody belongs in the Jail Viewer. A narrative belongs with the arresting agency. Filed charges and outcomes belong with Eagle Combined Courts, while a broader fingerprint-linked Colorado check belongs with CBI. Use this channel-complete sequence:
- Search the Sheriff Jail Viewer by name and In Custody. If no result appears, select All, add booking or release dates, and test a percent-sign wildcard.
- Note the arresting agency, agency case number, booking date, statute, warrant, court, and bond fields. Confirm bond with the jail before acting on it.
- Request the narrative from the agency that made the arrest. ECSO uses a notarized request; Eagle and Avon have separate police channels; Gypsum routes deputy records to ECSO.
- Search the Eagle County docket, then request the complaint, register of actions, and disposition from Eagle Combined Courts when a case was filed.
- Use the Colorado Bureau of Investigation ICHC for statewide, fingerprint-supported Colorado history. A blank result does not rule out a summons, nonfingerprinted event, or missing transmission.
For a Sheriff report, identify the incident date, place, agency, case number if known, parties, and desired format. A focused CCJRA request for legally releasable portions gives the custodian enough detail to search and account for limits on victim, minor, juvenile, and active-investigation data.
Eagle County Arrest Agency Routes
Booking at the county detention facility does not make ECSO the holder of every arrest report. The creating agency remains the right records source. Eagle Police accepts its own requests at 200 Broadway and 970-328-6354. Avon Police accepts requests by email, fax, mail, or at its 60 Buck Creek Road counter, and can work from who, when, where, and officer details if the case number is unknown.
Vail and Basalt reports stay with those police departments. Colorado State Patrol records, including highway and crash material, use the State Patrol records request channel. Gypsum is the notable exception because it contracts with ECSO for police services. The county jail may prove that booking occurred, but only the arresting office can process its narrative under the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act.
Arrest Records: What They Contain
An Eagle County booking profile can identify custody status, intake and release data, original detention allegations, the arresting agency, and court or bond routing. Fields may be blank or marked as pending. The report narrative can add event details, while the court file supplies the later legal result.

The public profile does not show every field a reader might expect. The inspected Eagle County entry did not display height, weight, hair or eye color, housing pod, magistrate, or medical and security flags. Missing fields should not be guessed.
Eagle County Bond and Warrants
A Viewer profile may show a warrant number, court case, allegation level, required bond, cash amount, and next court date. Those fields report what detention staff had at the time. Blank data is common, and the Viewer is not an active-warrant database. No official public Eagle County warrant list was located.

Recent Eagle County Bookings
ECSO does not publish a separate daily blotter. The official Jail Viewer fills that role through booking and release date filters. Its first result grid shows last, first, and middle names plus booking date. Page controls allow 5, 10, or 20 rows, along with sorting, refresh, and a new search.
The Viewer covers people processed into the Eagle County detention facility and labels the displayed allegations as original detention charges. It can show both current and released custody when the status filter is changed. An absence does not prove that no arrest occurred. A person could have received a summons, been held elsewhere, fallen outside the queried dates, or appeared under a different spelling.

Those filters make a date-range search more useful than expecting a static arrest gallery or list.
Eagle County Arrests at CBI
When an Eagle County booking includes fingerprints, the arrest cycle can be sent to CBI's Colorado Crime Information Center. Courts and agencies later report dispositions. A statewide CBI history may therefore show the arrest date, agency, charges, and court outcome when each part was matched. It can also say unknown disposition if the result was not reported or linked.

Exact identity data and aliases matter because ICHC is name based even though its reported arrest cycles are supported by fingerprints.
A CBI report does not include warrants, sealed records, most juvenile material, or every summons and ticket. When an outcome is missing, obtain official disposition documents from Eagle Combined Courts and submit them through CBI's correction process. This is a record-matching issue, not proof that the case remained open.
Eagle County Booking Photo Rules
Colorado law treats booking-photo use with care. C.R.S. 24-72-305.5 bars a requester from posting a photo on a site that demands payment or another financial exchange to remove it. A knowing misuse or false affirmation can bring a fine of up to $1,000. The image still proves only that detention intake occurred.
A dismissal does not by itself erase every arrest or booking product. Adult sealing is governed chiefly by C.R.S. sections 24-72-701 through 710, and each case connected with an arrest may need attention. After a judge signs an order, CBI must receive it before the state repository is updated.

The signed order should reach each record holder named in it, since a court file, agency report, booking entry, and CBI cycle are separate records.
Arrest Records vs Conviction Records
An Eagle County arrest entry records custody based on an allegation. A conviction exists only after a court enters a judgment of guilt. Prosecutors may decline, add, or amend counts after detention, and a case may later end in dismissal or acquittal.
